Die goldene Schindel is an international Festival & Award that puts your music video in the Spotlight. Where it belongs. We’ve got you covered – with four distinct Categories:

  • Goldene Schindel
  • Tiroler Schindel
  • Legacy Schindel
  • Spotlight Schindel

We don’t care about the language, genre or popularity. Die goldene Schindel rewards on quality and originality. Be part of the Schindel 2026. This year’s submission period is from April 9 to June 30.

the Schindel

  1. A music video is a collaborative masterpiece, bringing together the talents of various creatives – each contributing a vital piece to the bigger picture. While our award primarily honors the musical artists, we recognize the importance of every element in the process. That’s why we encourage a fair internal distribution of the winnings, though the final decision rests with the artists.
  2. Entrants are free to choose which category best suits their submission – justifications will only be requested if necessary.
  3. The videos should have been released approximately since June 2025. The Legacy Schindel is open to all releases.
  4. Music videos will not be considered for ranking if:
    • they solely capture a live performance or rehearsal without significant post-production.
    • they exceed a length of 8 minutes.
  5. If the submission fee presents a barrier for you for any reason, reach out to us at submission@goldeneschindel.at

Please note that we charge a fee of 19 – 29 – 39 euros per category depending on the current submission phase. This money goes towards supporting our festival program and the local music scene.
